Introduction to Underwater Archaeology-Archival Research-Ship Architecture-
Position Fixing and Search Methods-Surveying,Recording and Mapping-
Photography and Video Documentation-Conservation of Artifacts-
Ethics and the Law-Project Planning and Report Preparation
Upon completion of the introductory course, the student who is a certified scuba diver will be eligible to enroll in an underwater archaeology field school to be held in Key Largo Florida or in a local area field school to be scheduled later. PADI certifications in underwater/maritime archaeology are available to graduates of these courses
